It is with deep sorrow that we announce the impending closure of Pine Meadow Farm Center. We will be officially closing our doors on August 31st. However, until then, we will still be harvesting vegetables for our CSA boxes and milking goats. We invite you to come out and get some hands-on learning. We would also greatly appreciate your volunteer help in leaving the land neat, clean and orderly for our wonderful landlord, Linda Moulder. She has certainly been ‘living the vision’ through her generous support of Pine Meadow Farm Center.
We send out an enormous thank you and a big hug to all of the people and organizations who have helped us along the way, especially Cascade Harvest Coalition, our fiscal sponsor. We have learned a lot about running a farm center (even if some of it was about how to not run a farm center!) and hope you learned a lot, too. We are happy to report that we will be able to cease operations with very little outstanding debt. Donations are still very welcome (and needed) to help pay the last month’s rent and utilities.
We will not be selling at a Farmer’s Market any more but there are lots of vegetables planted for our CSA customers. Come on out, pull some weeds, help with the harvest and take some home. Volunteers are always welcome to take home produce from the garden. If you can spare an afternoon to help shovel out the barns, run the weed eater or take a load to the dump, we would love your help in leaving everything in order. Please call or email beforehand to make sure that someone will be here. Bring your friends and some tunes and help us to close down in a good way!
In appreciation for all that we accomplished together,
The Board and Staff of Pine Meadow Farm Center
